Strengths Insight

When I first began my teaching career at the elementary school where I currently teach, each staff member was asked to complete the Gallup Strength's Finder. Interestingly enough, six years later, my results are very similar.

Encourager is my greatest leadership strength. I find joy in encouraging others which is probably why teaching is so fulfilling for me. This will serve me well in rallying other enthusiasts and encouraging teachers and community leaders to join the initiative for cultural relevancy and pride in our schools. Everyone involved will bring different strengths and skills; it will be important to motivate individuals acknowledging their contributions in order to make sure everyone feels valued and appreciated which can lead to a successful initiative.

Innovator was my second highest trait. I welcome new ideas and am not afraid to try and fail at something. Because I will be gathering individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, life experiences and skills, being open minded and willing to try new things will serve me well.
